CONNECT - for married couples who want to become mentors

If you have a good marriage and want to help others, try our mentor training course CONNECT. Actually it's barely a course, just a couple of hours spent going through a few things on a weekday morning that suits you.

You see, mentoring is all about experience not expertise. You're not there to be an expert. You don't need to know all the answers. Your gift is simply to spend a little time with a couple who are starting out, share a little of your hospitality, and encourage them to talk through a list of questions. You provide the setting, they do the talking. Easy.

Your experience of the ups and downs of married life is what makes a difference. "We thought it would be like this and it wasn't. We tried this way of doing things and it really worked - or it didn't work and now we do it differently. " That kind of experience is gold dust to a young couple getting married.

CONNECT will suggest how to run an evening with a couple in your own home. We'll show you how to get them talking through a questionnaire that we give them on our INSIGHT course. And we'll show you a few relationship tricks - like how to watch for the STOP signs we demonstrate in our video.
